City Riots
Culture Collide Fest 2010 was somewhat of a blur…not necessarily because there was a ton of AMAZING music in LA brought to us by Filter (which there was), or an abundance of FREE Mike’s Hard Punch at the Standard on Friday night (which there was), OR because I was sick (which I was). In all honesty, you would never know that Culture Collide was in its first year, because it ran fantastically from venue to venue. A huge plus to this festival was the fact that many acts like Witness Protection Programme, El Guincho, City Riots, White Lies, & more did sets at different times on different nights in case you had scheduling conflicts OR wanted to see a favorite band twice! From the shows I was able to make, big ups to the Klaxons, El Guincho, AM, White Lies, Witness Protection Programme, Theophilus London, City Riots, and Casiokids. I did a really great interview with Casiokids that will go up on the site ASAP. Oh, and sidenote – I went to a really cool album preview for White Lies tonight. If you haven’t already checked out their first album To Lose My Life, then dooooo it.
