A lot of blogs have been posting this new, reimagined illustration of Superman, calling him “hipster” and “emo.” The new illustration comes as part of a new graphic novel titled Superman: Earth One, which chronicles the adventures of a younger Superman. To me, he just looks like a typical “guy.” I think the dark, brooding elements are there, but unless Clark Kent is sporting a fixie and pegged jeans, I’m not going to jump to any label-worthy conclusions. Let young Superman be! Kids will be kids!

In other Super Hero news, Christopher Nolan announced the name of his third Batman flick: The Dark Knight Rises. Not too shabby. The feature film is due out in theaters July 20, 2012.
